Kilo Pictures is a London-based multimedia production company led by award winning writing-producing duo Lacey Darlene Paulson and Valentina Romano.
Through Kilo Pictures, Lacey and Valentina have produced a diverse range of projects including the award-winning documentary, Behind the Smile (2023) and the controversial podcast for The Feminist Library. With expertise in both production and writing, the duo works as producers and writers for hire, as well as developing their in-house projects.
Being originally from the U.S. and Italy respectively, Lacey and Valentina's combined differing cultures provide the landscape to create content with universal appeal across various mediums.
LACEY began her career working in Worldwide Physical Production at Warner Bros. Pictures in Burbank, California. She subsequently left to work alongside acclaimed film director Jaume Collet-Serra as his assistant turned producer. With him, she saw the success of many films shot around the world including Sony’s The Shallows, Studiocanal’s The Commuter, and Disney’s Jungle Cruise. She left Los Angeles behind to move to London and become co-founder of Kilo Pictures.
VALENTINA was involved in the making of numerous projects, such as internationally acclaimed Bohemian Rhapsody and Sony’s Venom 2. She worked alongside producers Hutch Parker, Steve Clark-Hall and writer-director Armando Iannucci. Before making the shift to filmed entertainment, she was a journalist for the global fashion magazine Tatler. Her decision to co-found Kilo Pictures was supported by her thirst to bring to life the stories she wishes to watch on screen.
